Boo-Yaa Tribe is some of the first people I ever heard rap about banging. They've been around for awhile and they have a live band when they do shows. For anyone who remembers the Arsenio Hall show, they were the guys singing back up for Frost when he did that song "Thin Line".
They're original West Side Pirus, they once had a shootout in the parking lot of a club in LA with Tone Loc and his homies. Even while they've been making cd's and been on tour (lalapalooza, etc.) they were still banging and had members of there group die in drive bys.
There music is gangsta though, if you haven't heard them you should check 'em out.

i had the cd, didn't dig it really. there were a few cuts on it that were coo. they seem like some coo homies, i think they all brothers or something. i also heard that they got 5 mics in the source for that album where they are all in suits on the front cover, can't remember the name of it
