On my way home to Detroit from Atlanta for Thanksgiving, I bumped the new SNOOP & XZIBIT and my homie & homegirl said that they were tight. The funny thing is that they said that they usually don't listen to westcoast rap because "they cuss too much". I was shocked but opinions are opinions. I don't see any difference in rappers from any coast. What yall think?

i think there is a difference in rap style depending on where u are from. i personally only listen to bay area and sac rap. but thats just me. different styles develop from different areas. not jut music but that culture that influences the music. so i think there is a differece in west coast and east coast and every othr spot on the map. just what everys going on in the area for the time.

maybe ur folks were talking bout west coast rappers as artists that cuss a lot not because of the bad words or anything but because of the vulgar content... most west coast artists talk about 3 main things; GANGBANGIN 1, SLANGIN DOPE 2, and BEING A PIMP 3... there's little room for flashyness which is why most west coast rappers arent up on the charts like the east and the south.. this especially relates to the cats coming from the bay area, coz in most of their music its usually about slangin dope, breakin bitches, and shootin niggas up...
