Whats up? I have some fairly decent connections out on the West Coast from writing for RIME Magazine. I, like all of you, am frustrated that the west gets little play on tv/radio these days. I know there's exceptions like KMEL that rep the bay, and Power 106 in LA. But the majority of fans are left in the dark about some of the good things that goes on out here.

I want to make a mixtape modeled after those of DJ Kay Slay, DJ Clue, etc. But with ALL and ONLY west coast acts. I would showcase all areas like the bay, LA, dago, and the Northwest. I KNOW for certain that I could easily have exclusive material from some bigger names in all those areas I just mentioned. Im not looking to make a profit yet, I just want to use it as an opportunity to put my foot in the door and to rep the west.

The problem is I live in Montana which isn't a very convenient area if I were to place the mixtapes in stores and such because my target audience is not in Montana lol. I was thinking I could build up a fanbase by putting them up on websites for awhile for free download for the couple mixtapes. Graphic Designers could get their name out there by doing the covers for no charge, but their name would be included with every mention of the mixtape.

Let me know if there is interest from artists/fans for this because I think we need to start doing the east coast style mixtapes if we want to appeal to their taste. I'll take any input/criticism that you have.

One.

I appreciate the help bloodline, but I know what goes on in the bay. Im always posting on the siccness and copping bay area albums and I know the difference between who is really making moves and just another independent artist. I'll get at you other guys later today.
