i went on many trip,where my mom would get her stamps and walk 2 blocks and sell em for 50 cents on the dollar....."mom, im hungry"....*throws a bag of uncooked spaghetti at my face"..."here,chew on this"

THEY WOULD GIVE YOU A FEW BUCKS, BUT IT WAS A TIME WHEN THEY GAVE U A BOX OF FOOD THAT YOU'D PICK UP AT THE WEL FARE OFF, YOU WOULD GET HELLA CAN FOOD, LIKE FRUITS PEAS CORN AND WHATNOT, THEN YOU WOULD GET SHIT IN A BOX LIKE CEREAL, AND YOU WOULD GET LIKE BAGS OF RICE AND BAGS OF BEANS

i remember when i was hella young.... either that or theyd send u to a food bank, like salvation army, ours was in rwc, on broadway next to the 7-11, then the fair oaks community center

I'm grateful for having a good job that pays good, and being able to buy whatever i like. But growing up my mom has been a janitor for the last 20 years. And she was always paid under the table. We stayed gettin Food Stamps for hellla years, i thought is was dope. I was raised on Cream of Wheat and Grits... I still eat that shit. I swear i can't get nobody to eat it tho.
