Which do you think is better? I like Flash sites, but they take a long time to load and are hard to maintain, while HTML sites are easy to make, maintain, but they don't have as nice of a look to them. Which do you prefer.

I gotta agree with Juan. HTML/Scripting would be best for message boards, stores, etc.. considering loading issues and shit. But the same thing could be done in flash/actionscript as long as the author knows wtf he's doing. Same with HTML sites. They can LOOK/FEEL just as nice as long as its done right.

Believe it or not, alot of people browse the net without flash or even graphics turned on. If you notice most sites have a flash or graphic navigation as well as a text navigation at the bottom of the page.

The only thing that matters is a site that functions.

Thanks fellas. I'm just trying to get an idea of what people like. I already know HTML and DHTML pretty well, but I was wondering if I should get to learning how to use Flash or not. Looks like I need to hit the books. Thanks for the replies.

I went fo flash cuz it has movement in it and it just looks fresh, its the newest style around, html is coo too, but its just a code to edit thing pretty much, but most do use html, its easier and faster.
