What the fuck is with all these artists getting lazy and making their sites .ning? Tech n9ne's site was dope as hell, now its some shit myspace style .ning. Is this temporary?

Doubt it. It's a networking site, that I dont think they even have to pay for.

I've "complained" about this too. Doesn't look professional at all, outside of the banners and even that could be thrown together if enough time and resources by a fan. Another thing too is, some of these underground cats may have had websites a couple years now, but they've ditched those for solely relying on MySpace.

Ridiculous. Bring back a professional looking site, even if it's only updated (design wise) once every two years...

EDIT: My comments are directed more toward Strange, but the same concept applies to all artists. Why rely on a site that outside of the colors and your picture, looks like 1,000,000 other sites? Individuality, creative... express some, stand out from these other rappers and artists, don't settle for having what they have because it's cheap and easy to maintain.

I run a Ning social community that is fairly successful, and while Ning does do a lot for you, its by no means free, and can get fairly expensive when you start adding other services outside of ning, but it does keep most of these artist from having an actual web designer/admin as they can have their head of promo manage it
