This weekend I was entering a restaurant while two elderly women were leaving. One was walking with a cane, the other in a wheelchair. I held the door open for them and the lady in the wheel chair peered up at me and said" I guess because of the war we are equal now" as she was going through it. I later asked a friend what this could mean and he said maybe I misheard her and she said "because of the door" I'm pretty sure she said "because of the war" Anyways, what in the hell does this mean?

oh, SHES equal now? im sure, if anything, shes dissapointed that shes now "Equal" to you. i highly doubt that "before the war" she really thought she was less than equal to anyone.

If you're non-white then it may have been some racist remark. If this is the case the good news is she will be dead very soon, and a lot of people in her generation with the same mentality will be as well.

If you're white and she said that then maybe her vision is very poor. The good news, see above.

Or if she said "because of the door we are equal now" maybe she meant that because she's an old cripple and you had to open the door for her, in some strange way that balances things or some shit. I don't fucking know, that's a stretch.

Yeah, in war all Americans magically become equal to fight against whatever race is the enemy at the time, then once the war is over, all that fellow American shit goes out the window.

good work thinking that it could have only been white women making racist statements too guys, lol

yeah, cuz during the civil war in the 1800's there were buses, and blacks had to sit on the back of them, even though they were slaves, and anybody who was a slave then is dead.

How was what she said racist?

honestly this is prolly on some Alzheimer's shit. i used to be a maintenance guy at a nursing home, and some of the ladies would fuckin stare at the wall and tell their kids to come inside and get a jacket on or theyll get too hot outside. lol
