I was in D.C. this past weekend and went to this club called DREAM(OH BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!) It's four floors of folks getting hyphy. Anyway, I was going back down to the 2nd floor and I hear a nigga rapping "FEELING MYSELF". I turn around and we both was rapping it. Later on, I'm on the dancefloor with the thizzface(but I don't do no drugs!) and getting hyphy and this breezy asks me where I'm from. I say Detroit. She says,"Oh, I thought you were from the bay area" just from the way I was dancing. But sadly she was an L7 standing there doing nothing so I had to keep it moving. If you go to D.C. go to club DREAM. Off the hook. Bay representation nationwide baby!!!!!!!!!!1

I live in Washington D.C. From what I seen there's not really a Bay presence here at all. Music or style wise. Mf's on some other shit here just like yall area is. And Gogo is the main music here because its mainly a woman area. Predominately women. Its something you would dance off of type shit. So yeah the Dream is cool and all that but the best place to go is to a Gogo club if you wanna snatch some down to earth females.

Its kinda messed up though living on the eastcoast cause you don't find no Bay artists in the stores other than Yukmouth and C-Bo. Oh yeah I seen a Messy Marv not too long ago and was shocked. Yuk pretty much known tho here comes every so often and does lil shows.

DC

me and Jacka just got back from DC. the bay doesnt have a huge presence out there but niggas know whatup. we were in the hood out there (i dunno the name) and the kats out there knew all the mob shit...they were bumpin it when we showed up. yuk and c-bo seem to be the most known of all bay artists out there

there are hella students in college from the bay tho, esp at howard. we met about 15 - 20 students from the bay in about an hour and a half while lounging on the campus. they also showed jacka some love and interviewed him on the howard station and played about 4 of his songs.

dc is real cool..more bay artists should go network out there

Tucson

I was doin my show at a college station in Tucson, AZ one night and Young Meek from Sac showed up with "south areas finest" and chopped it up. He helped me rep for the bay. The Bay doesnt really have a big presence out in AZ either, they seem to jock the shit out of LA's artists. I couldnt believe when i would chop it up with hip-hop heads out there who were all up on wc and the madd circle, freestyle fellowship, anotha level, etc. but had never even heard of E-40.

Then Playa JT from N2DEEP came down and started a show at the local ClearChannel station and started reppin in a major way. We need more networkin like that in other areas to get the Bay crackin like it was back in the early 90's.
