If you consider "semite" or "semetic" as a group of people who speak a specific language or dialect he would be a semite or semetic due to speaking aramaic, hebrew or arabic. If you consider semite or semetic to be a blood line/race/people/ethnicity that trace from Shem he would be a semite. While genealogy records show he does have some connection to Ham, the genealogy presented in Luke traces to Shem, while the one in Matthew stops at Abraham. So did he have Afrikan blood in his veins?
YES. Look at some of the names in the genealogies presented and you'll find several, but does that make him "black?" Define "black" and I can give you my opinion.
