I just got an Octava 319 modded from octavamod.com and in the manual it says to warm up the mic for about an hour before critcal recording, so does that mean just pluging it in for an hour or does the phantom power have to be on? anyone know?

I don't know about his, but my brothers Rode has a supply that needs to be turned on for like an hour before recording, and I did notice a difference between letting it warm up and jumping right in.
yeah that's why i was saying...
cus tube mics...YOU DEFINATELY NEED TO WARM UP
i used to let my rode stay on for an hour before recording and it made a huge difference

i've never heard about letting non-tube mics warm up...that's what i was wondering
