Saw this shit earlier at the Metreon, decent flick, great special effects and war scenes, the Aliens go out like chumps though, whatever happened to bad assed Aliens who could come down to earth and ruin everyone's shit, you know, like Predator...

Shit was bunk. I didn't like it. Cruise is gettin on my damn nerves any damn way. Shouldn't have wasted $8.75. I saw that preview for the remake of King Kong and that preview looked better than this whole damn movie.

the visual efx were good, but tha story plot wuz crap. i would recommend seein this in tha movie theater only cuz tha special efx, tha movie might no be so good watchin on a regular t.v. when it comes out on video. tha special efx and tha fear factor were my money's worth in itself. fold.

Now I saw the original years ago and I haven't seen this one yet.. but if it's like the original, yea, the aliens go out in the same way. Aliens dying in an easy way, like that movie Signs did. In the original WOTW it wasn't water though but I don't want to post a spoiler for folks who didn't see either the original or the remake. Tom Cruise annoys me because he's a nutty scientologist.

Decent flick yup, worth the matinee. How the aliems went out was unexpected BUT highly realistic, it's a trip.

"my jobs givin me crap, my ex wife and her husband are giving me crap, aliens attack, im covered in the dust of my dead neighbors, the kids hate me, we just got car jacked by 300 fools over my 8 seater mini van, its raining, i dropped my gun, i have a head ache from the lil girl screaming". Id say he took it pretty well actually.


my only question was what was with the red vines? I thought they were entrails n guts, but they kind of looked like roots???? any answers?

man that little girl got on my fuckin nerves... she was worse then the bitch in the blair witch project, but i didnt understand the end,how did the aliens loose their shield? cause of some fuckin birds landing on the robots? or was it the water they drank? the movie left me hanging,wonderin how the funk they lost their shields and lost..

LOL..i thaut the same shit when i seen it last night.tom cruise looked kinda happy thru the whole damn movie!i was like "why is this fool happy?"..lol he looked just like he did on the oprah show..lol.

the shields went down because the aliens got sick from breathing our air, drinking our water and basically eating humans in general. And youre suppose to be left hanging with questions, the idea is youre there, in the movie with everyone else. The only thing they let us, the viewers, know was that the aliens were invading, why they were invading, and why they stopped. We arent suppose to know why Boston isnt burnt to a crisp, what other cities were destroyed, did the japanese figure a way to kill the tripods or was that dude in the basement trippin balls & went crazy after seeing his family obliterated.

sorry to have spoiled anything for anyone not seeing this, but I keep hearing why? why? why? when I talk with other folks about it.

I saw it at the drive in with the longest yard. I paid 6 dollars for 2 movies, too me it was worth the money. I thought war of the worlds could of had a better ending though.
