i recently rebooted the comp. because it suddenly stopped working. everything is well now, but the volume ain't working. ive tried fuckin wit the settings but says no device.

this is what i get...........

hmmm...not a good thing....try doin a system restore to the last checcpoint maybe that might fix it....

start>accessories>entertainment>volume control. If you cant adjust it from there then disreguard this....

Everyone above me is an idiot. Dont mind their responses.

You have not installed your sound card yet.

Go to "add new hardware" and do an automatic search for it.

If that doesnt work check your laptop documentation and see what kind of sound card you have, then download a driver for it. Then run the driver program if its an exe, or go to add new hardware and point your computer to the driver file.

^if he does a system restore it might fix that for him too without him doin all that....its worked for me before...but if it dont work then yeah he need to reinstall the drivers.....

go to Control Panel>System>Click the Hardware Tab>Click Device Manager>Find your audio device...is it listed? With a yellow question mark. If you recovered from computer error recently. You may have to reinstall the drivers for your sound device. You'll have to go to your pc manufacturers site to dl the correct driver for your chipset(Google it:) ). XP comes with a grip of pre-determined drivers...but it doesn't cover all chipsets. What's the make and model of your lap top?

Spider obviously aint that computer literate....yall gonna confuse him wit all that talk lol.....THAS WHY THEY MADE SYSTEM RESTORE........
