-well u need to be more specific

-there is a cheap lil' wave editor called "Goldwave"

-there is also a bundle of audio plugins called "Waves"

-now if it's a "waves" bundle of plugins you have to install em and you can bring them up in a wave editor like soundforge or wavelab etc. (also specify which bundle it is)

I HAVE THE SOFTWARE. ITS IN MY DIRECT X PLUGIN LIST. WHAT EXACTLY DO YOU WANT TO KNOW? MY VERSION IS THE GOLD VERSION. KEV SKI HAS THE "PLATINUM" VERSION.

WHAT EXACTLY ARE YOU TRYING TO DO WITH THE VOCALS? "CLEAN THEM UP AND BRING THEM TO LIFE"????

1.RE-TRACK THEM (AND COMPRESS THEM WHILE TRACKING)

2.SWITCH MICS

3.PROPER MICING TECHNIQUES(BACK AWAY FROM THE MIC,TILT IT OFF AXIS,POINT IT DOWN ETC ETC ETC)

THATS WHAT I WOULD DO "IF" IT WASNT TOO MUCH OF A HASSLE. I DONT KNOW IF YOU HAVE THE ABILITY TO HAVE THE ARTIST RE TRACK THE LYRICS BUT THATS ALWAYS AN OPTION (AND BEST ONE IN MY OPINION).

BUT BE MORE SPECIFIC AS TO WHAT YOU ARE TRYING TO DO AND WHAT YOU WANT TO KNOW AND WHAT YOU HAVE TRIED. IM SURE MANY PEOPLE ON HERE CAN HELP.

what do you mean by cleaning them up? are they dirty and distorted? too much fx on them? if so retrack (if the vocalist is able to retrack them). if thats not the case you should probably eq the vocals. a lot of voices reside in the mid range of the frequency spectrum so its best to play around in that area first. you can also cut some of the bass out.

i can only give general info because i dont know the mic that was used nor do i know what problems you have.

as far as fattening the vocals a chorus or delay will work. you can also make copies of the vocal track, pitch one up ,pitch one down and leave on "regular".after that you can pan the pitched tracks to the side but not hard right because phase cancellation may occur.

if you have loud "s" sounds (sibience) use a de-esser and cut around 6khz-8khz.
