I know it varies from song to song but what is your default settings for Hi's, Medium's, and low's. Im using adobe audition 1.5. Reason why I asked is cause I wanted to see what ya'll are working with and adjust and tweak on my own from there. Also tell me what to do and not to do while equalizing. Help will be highly appreciated and thanks for your time reading this even if you can't help.

Each voice is unique so there isn't any standard settings that make them sound good. You always want to start flat and go from there. And don't boost. It's better to pull back frequencies than to boost, which increases the distortion risk.

EQ'ing is an art and the only way to get good at it is with a lot of practice. Study how the vocals are shaped on a reference album like Dr. Dre - The Chronic and apply what you learn to your own stuff.
