Police are seeking to question New Orleans, Louisiana rapper 5th Ward Weebie in connection with a fatal shooting in April.
Weebie, born Jerome Cosey, allegedly left the scene of a nightclub shooting with an unidentified man who is suspected of shooting and killing a man at a Vacherie night club.
Police seek to charge Cosey, 27, with accessory to second-degree murder, but sources told AllHipHop.com that rapper has not formally been charged with any crime.
Police have not released details or revealed what led to the fatal shooting.
Cosey released three albums, one for Southcoast Music Group, one for Fat Boy records and another for Kane and Abel’s Most Wanted Empire imprint.
In related news, sources told AllHipHop.com that violence claimed “Boss Playa,” another rapper associated with Kane & Abel that appeared on several of their songs as well.
While details are sketchy, sources said the rapper was gunned down outside a local barbershop.
