I'm really starting to think AP is the strongest single on the album. When I was listening, a video idea popped into my head.
Start the video with a local news teams (KMBC, KCTV5) doing the news when out of nowhere Tech takes over the signal and is on screen. He's talking about AP in an interview. The news regains control and explains that "local rapper Tech N9ne had somehow intercepted their signal." The news team is frantic and you can tell that they are puzzled as to what is going on. Another anchor adds " How he has the power to take over?. . .we're not certain."
Music starts. . .Cut to a 70's tricked-out convertible Olds or Cadillac switching lanes down I-70 to downtown. Tech is driving and rapping while Krizz is riding shotgun. Heads are nodding like they at the club. Show various KC exit signs. Tech is decked out in Chiefs throwback apparel
Cut back and forth from the car to Tech standing in front of a black and white mural of Pac and Biggie. Standing in front of the mural and in back of tech are Travis, Krizz and dozens of fans. Fans range in age from 12 to 40. They are male and female and are black, white, asian, and arab. The people show the diverse audience that appreciates Tech. Some are nodding their head while others are standing still. All are looking directly at the camera.
Cut to the car taking a downtown exit. The camera zooms out slowly until the car becomes small in comparison to the freeways and skyline.
Next, Tech is atop a highrise at crown center. He's all alone spitting the verses. You can see the entire skyline behind him. The hyatt is right next to him and you can see P&L building and One Kansas City Place in the background. The camera shot is rotating 360 degrees as he raps. You can see the entire cityscape. The cameras are on a helicopter that is circling the building. It continues to zoom in and out and show Tech and the skyline at the same time. It looks as if Tech is on top of the city looking down on his kingdom.
Cut back and forth between this and and the mural set.
Next have a news bulliten come on over the beat saying "local rap artist Tech N9ne has reportedly seized control. We repeat Tech now has power over the city and is looking to seize absolute power over the entire nation."
Cut to local news helicopter circling the building, trying to get pictures of Tech. Tech is still rapping. Pretty soon a small crowd has surrounded him. Tech is giving a concert on top of the building. As it cuts back and forth, more and more people are on the roof untll it is elbow to elbow.
Cut back and forth to the ground level where all the cars on the city streets are caught in a traffic jam. All are looking towards the building while AP plays on every car's radio. Everyone is nodding their head. . .5 year olds to grandmas.
Show a mob rushing the entrance of the office building. Dozens of police are on the scene trying to stop the people from entering. They say things over the music. "You can't go up there." and "Who is this guy, anyway?" and "They call him Tech N9ne" A van pulls up with police in riot gear. They start pushing the crowd around. The crowd includes grandmas, office execs, truck drivers, teenagers and are bouncing to the track .
The track ends cutting all three scenes of the entrance to the building, the roof of the building, and Tech rapping in front of the mural.
