I want to simplify my setup as much as possible, so that when I get into the groove of making a track I don't have to pause whenever I want to try something new so that I don't lose what I'm trying to do. So... right now I'm a little frustrated. I love Reason because I can do shit so quick in it, but it's all self contained so if I want to use my keyboard sounds I have to rewire it into another program or have samples of myself playing the keyboard prepared to load into reason.

Now I have tried rewiring into Cubase, but Cubase I'm extremely fed up with, because it's so buggy.

I have been trying out Ableton Live, with reason rewired into it, and so far it's pretty tight, since it's so easy to use, and when using effects on tracks and going to the next track to play with, it's really fast and intuitive. Drawback is that whenever I record my keyboard, I have to record it live, which isn't TOO much of a problem, but there's no MIDI out with Live, so whatever I record on the keyboard is a final take.

Now, there's a grip of other software sequencers, does anyone have any experience with them, and can anyone tell me some advantages/drawbacks to them?

Response preferred from someone with some experience please.
