Virginia sheriff and a dozen of his deputies engaged in a corrupt scheme to sell the drugs they seized to the public, a federal indictment alleges. The indictment, unsealed today, names Henry County Sheriff Harold Franklin Cassell and 17 others. The 34-count indictment also charges a postal worker, a probation officer and five citizens.
