WEAK

Ok, the underlying theme, political satire, and overall message was good. I'll give the movie that. The dialogue was well thoughout and the movie blended perfectly..

BUT WHAT A BITCH!! That movie was boring as fuck and V is one of the weakest "superheroes" yet. I was expecting some action. A lot of action actually. But what I saw was a lot of talking and a lot of books. I was really excited the whole movie, the way it led up to the 5th... I thought shit was gonna go DOWN. **SPOILERS** but what happens? V gets capped in his first battle. That was fuckin dope though..how he cut all them fools up. I just wanted to see MORE of that. I wanted V to be surrounded by 100 of those dudes, and fuck em all up. Just like Neo did to all them agent smiths (who actually is in fact the actor of V).

That movie had serious potential..what a letdown

Blade would RUIN V. Fuck his shit up something vicious.

I finally got to see V for Vendetta last night (it isn't released here until this Thursday but I got preview tickets), and IMO it was one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. I'm a huge fan of violence in movies, but a movie can't be successful if it just focusses on violence, and V was far more diverse than that. I loved the way in which V spoke and his diverse vocabulary - what's wrong with having an intelligent superhero?

Let it be a lesson to us all - next time some terrorist shit happens, don't give up any more of your freedom so the government can 'make you feel safer'. This sort of shit happened straight after 911 - the government wanted to create new laws to limit peoples freedom for a long time prior to the event, but the people weren't willing to give up any of their freedom. Therefore, when it comes to controlling it's people, 911 was the best thing that could have happened to the US government.

I apologise Psycho, I didn't mean to sound like I'm looking down on you because your post suggested that you thought intelligent super-heroes were lame - I suppose for me it was a breath of fresh air having someone with linguistic talent and class doing the arse-kicking instead of the cold, calculated heartless superheroes that are often portrayed in movies like Blade (Although I loved that movie too). I haven't read the comic 'V for Vendetta' yet, I don't really get into comics much - atleast this way I can't be disappointed!
