Nah,not yet. They still make stupid mistakes, and should be in big trouble playing in Spokane.3 freshman, and 2 sophs start,so Dentmon's gonna have to have a real good game for them to win.I like Gonzaga by 7 or 8,but Im pullin for UDUB.

Washington is now the #9 state when it comes to per capita NBA production (we are 6th in baseball, 20th in football). Lot of ballers are harvested up in these parts.

I cannot stand Gonzaga, but obviously I'm aware of their talent, and I would have to agree with Bammer, the UW is not as good as they were last year. You just don't replace Brandon Roy easily, even w/ a real good recruiting class. I'd also agree with Bammer that I expect Gonzaga to win by 7 or 8.

That being said, as is the case every year, UW will be better come tournament time after 2.5 months playing top-notch competition, while Gonzaga will regress playing inferior competition. That's the way it goes every year. If they are really serious about contending for a national title they should try and join the Pac-10 anyway anyhow. Either that or schedule some of those big games in January & February (but that's really hard to do because the Texas and North Carolina type teams are focusing on league competition).

Go Dawgs

zags losing to the cougars? WTF.
Seriously. The Cougettes have played a weak schedule like UW has, and they barely scraped by Idaho St and Boise St (is there court blue too?). Gonzaga should be ashamed of themslves.

Spencer Hawes reppin Seattle Prep my old stompin ground, his matchup w/ Heytvelt is going to be key in this game. I still don't think the Dawgs are ready, unfortunately.

They'll both be in the NBA within 2 years.

Fuck Gonzaga b/c #1, I'm west of the Cascades, so I'm Dawg fan, and Gonzaga is our rival. The two teams have had some pretty intense recruiting wars, Heytvelt was probably the biggest battle. Plus it pisses me off GU has a free pass to the Tourney every year b/c of their conference. I know they have a very impressive record against the Big Boys, that's deserving of respect. But fact is, they could go 0-10 in non-league every year and still end up in the NCAA Tournament. Plus Adam Morrison, the dude's court demeanor just annoyed the shit out of me, his appearance, the fact I've heard he was a gigantic D-Bag, etc. It goes on and on, we don't like Gonzaga.

Dentmon played like shit tonight,we had NO chance.
He couldn't create any separation, and when he did have a half-step on somebody, the help defense was there, and he couldn't find the open man quick enough.

Hawes looked good. Pondexter, Brockman solid.
