Mark... put your computer mic next to the phone. I use this technique for funny voicemail messages and they come out sounding pretty damn clear

at radio shack there is an item called

"telephone pick up"

it looks like a bomb that they would drop out of wwII planes in the b/w movies you know doz. of them or a gold fish snack
with a suck - shin - cup {no fuckin spell check}on the end
it's black and it will have a 1/8 plug to it
{so you may need to get a converter with a "l/r rca "plug at the end} for ch. one input

or

make it ez for jure self and plug it thru a 1/8 to 1/4 converter then plug it to your mic input mixer
from there ju can rec. it to tape/cpu or music cdr

remember go to a bigger radio shack than a small hole in the wall one cause they will have a larger stock of items

better yet whip out that ol yellow pages and find it without leaving the hut

total cost: no less $5.99
ether way

hope it goes well
if there is any other info you need ju know where to roll to

p.s.mark and arsen
lace me a {info} favor down the road ..... cool?

The best way to record voicemail messages really depends on the type of phone you have and what type of "hands free" jack you have on your phone. I have a V60 and it has a "mini jack." So what I did was get a mini jack to 1/8" jack adapter...then get a 1/8" jack to RCA or 1/4" (depending on your soundcard ins.) Just cue up the message and hit record. It's pretty similar to recording samples from a VCR/DVD player. It's all in the cords! Hope that helps.
