yeah you gotta fucc with the hue/saturation and selective color adjustments to bring out desired colors more and tone down unwanted colors....and use the dodge tool with about 10% or lower opacity and set to highlight mode for your brighter colors and use the burn tool about 10% or lower and set to shadow for your darker colors....

first pic is good edit.

second is bad ya, you should of only made level and color edit to it to bring out the wood color more, make it warmer..

third is ok.
