American heavyweight Josh Barnett won't have long to lick his wounds from the recent PRIDE Open-Weight Grand Prix. On October 21 in Las Vegas, Barnett, who fell short in the finals of the tournament to Mirko Filipovic, will face Polish judoka Pawel Nastula, PRIDE announced Tuesday afternoon.

Despite a 1-2 mixed martial arts record, Nastula has shown flashes of being a solid fighter. Yet he again appears to be overmatched versus the 27-year-old Barnett.

The man Barnett defeated to reach the GP semifinals has also beend added to an event expected to showcase nine bouts. Former K-1 World Grand Prix champion Mark Hunt will attempt to get back on track against a man who offers a completely different dilemma than Barnett, when he steps into the ring versus "Butterbean" Eric Esch.
so far: fedor vs mark coleman, maricio shogun vs kevin randleman, josh barnett vs pawel nastula and mark hunt vs "butterbean" eric esch

Shogun vs Kevin is the best fight on this card.
I hate to say it, but I think this weeks UFC card is much better (on paper).

I agree. I think Shogun will take it. Who's fighting on the UFC card? Is it on Spike or Pay-Per-View?

Any one of those would be milked by the UFC and spread out between 5 cards for the year, labeling each as the main event. EASILY

Ain't that the fucking truth.

Fedor is going to beat the living shit out of Coleman by the way. I don't see it going past the first round.
