Update on NWA World Heavyweight Tournament

Why are they even having a tournament? Everybody knows its going to Bryan Danielson.. They should just say it was held in some offshore country and give it to him.

Kinda shitty, though, because now the title means nothing again.

The only name I recognize is on there is Bryan Danielson. Nice touch havin the brackets named after NWA legends. But shouldn't the Terry Funk bracket be named the Dory Funk Jr. bracket since he had the 2nd longest regin as champion.

I've know of Brent Albright, Adam Pearce and Bryan Danielson.. That's it.

They should've put people like Sabu, Steve Corino and Severn in there.. Former NWA Champs.. People who people would think would have a shot at actually winning the thing.

Bigger promotions cut ties with NWA as soon as they get big enough it seems. I'm not really an expert on the consept of NWA is it a promotion or what? Seems like they are some sort of governing wrestling council or something. Every wrestling mag talks about them but if they are so infulential in the biz why dont they have their own show? Can anyone fill me in?

Brent Albright vs. Bryan Danielson should be the final. Two great wrestlers btw. Claudio Castagnolli could be a sleeper though, he was signed to a WWE development deal for a few weeks last year and got dropped with no reason given. Him and Adam Pearce are regulars in Ring Of Honor, just like Danielson and Albright. A lot of these other guys are just regional stars.
