Investigators are seeking a gunman who open fired on rappers C-Bo and Messy Marv in Westport, Missouri this morning.
Witnesses said around 3:00 a.m., a gunman open fired with an AK-47 from a pickup truck that pulled up behind the SUV the rappers and their entourage was traveling in.
"We are still trying to sort out what stage name goes with who," a detective working the case "I do know that one of the occupants of the vehicle that was fired upon was scheduled to perform at a concert this evening."
As the SUV sped off, the truck followed and continued shooting. Police gave chase but the gunman eluded police and did not make an arrest.
The rappers were leaving a small radio station, where they were apparently promoting their CD's and the concert.
"We contacted the radio station, but it's so small they don't tape their interviews."
One occupant of the SUV sustained injuries but is expected to recover.
