I read that. I have to agree with "Trino" Savala and West Sacramento Mayor Chris Cabaldon (an open homosexual, since it's going to inevitibly be brought up...), that the case of there being 'no such thing as Broderick Boys' is only hurting their cause. It's just making the anti injunction people look crazy. Jesus Christ, EVERYONE knows there's a Broderick gang. Forever they were called "Bedrock Boys" because they were always secluded out there across the river from the rest of Sacra and considered more old school than the other areas.

What they need to do instead is make the case that the injunction is only being used because of the retail development in the area, and there is tons of fucking evidence pointing toward it. I mean, here we are in a time where South Sac is becoming it's own 'Compton' with it's murder rate, and West Sacramento just mysteriously gets put under the microscope? I think there was like one murder there over the course of two years, and it was white trash tweekers, Mexicans had nothing to do with it.

This injunction was useless. It's designed to bring bad attention to the development in that area by the developers in South Port, the more exclusive part of West Sac. (yes, there is such a thing...)

Not to mention, injunctions within themselves are unconstitutional. But, they're here to stay. Unfortunately, they're being abused for all the wrong reasons. And there's no more obvious example than the Broderick injunction. I'm glad they fought back. And, it may have not been futile, afterall. Even though it looks that their injunction is going to stay, that article mentioned that the uproar in West Sac has discouraged D.A.'s elsewhere in the country from trying it. I don't care who you are, if you believe in the constitution, that's a GOOD thing.

The primary victims of Norteños, many residents said, were teenagers who were recruited or attacked for being Sureños -- even if they weren't. West Sacramento has some Sureños, but they are not subject to the injunction.
figures..

I know the Zavala Family. Many of them moved out of West Sacra, but when they come to vist their cousins or friends in Broderick. They get run up by the cops and have them sign a form without telling them what it is untill it's already to late.If they know before hand they wouldn't of never signed their names of the form.Alot of Broderick gente is getting jammed up on that. Some don't bang anymore and are put on that list which messes them up on getting a job. Some of them are even in college and are trying to better themselves. The thing that get's eveyone is that Broderick wasn't just chicanos. They have blacks, whites and some other ones who claimed Broderick that are not on the list, just the mexicans.I know most of the original BRK 14 boys who are older and are lucky that some are not list . One thing about West Sacra is the Yolo PD has always had the reputation of messing around with people and give everone a hard time..

I still cant believe this is legal for them to do, sneaky bastards. What gets me is they cant see they own family, so its tellin them they only have a certain time when they can see family. I consider peoples with relatives N the same city/neighborhood as them lucky, now the city is stripping them that human right.

Alot of people who are on the list are still taking Legal Action on this. Some will be off and some won't,but in time it will be going to Washington court in the future and it will viewed nation wide on the news. That's what the Attorneys keep saying.

To people I went to high school with (mostly Centro and SSP), 'Bedrock' was always kind of a shot at Broderick just because of Broderick having an old school reputation. I don't know if they were enemies, but it was just a common phrase used. Is there another 'Bedrock' in Sacra or West Sacra? I always assumed 'Bedrock' was slang for BRK.

They fought back hard. And, even though it may not change the Broderick injunction, just the protests alone are certain to discourage other D.A.s across the country from doing it. That Yolo Co. D.A. is a real prick. He's just not going to fold his cards. Let's hope to see a huge surge in registered Mexican voters when this asshole is up for re-election.

Here's a blog by a college student against the injunction. Lot's of interesting information on Broderick and the injunction. It hasn't been updated in over a year, though. Which probably isn't a good sign. Looks like he may have folded his tent and moved on. But, he really did his homework. He broke the politics of this injunction down to a 't'. Check it out. Has some good pictures, too.

We'll Bedrock is more west of Broderick.More nearer the Ikea store. That area is called Bedrock. In the past West Sac was concidered Broderick ,CA unitll it became part of Sacra, being West Sacra,CA in yolo county.
I'm not really sure if they were enemies back then or not,but my homie says their was times they would go at it.I haven't seen any more Bedrock people. They tend to fade out making Broderick more in control of things in the west side of Sacra.
Did you go to Sac High? Being around Centro and South Side Park.

I hope so. Got some family in West Sac and Broderick. Nobody I know personally was hit with the injunction but it affects a lot of people I know, as they do have people they know who've been served. I hope this stays in the news, that D.A. would love for this thing to quiet up.

It's good that the ones you know are not on the list.Their's still alot of them not being served.Hopefully it would stay that way.I not a Broderick Boy,but I know alot them.Their firme with me and have kick back with them many times. To see this happen or to anyone is violating of their freedom rights. When it does come on the news.it will be an eye opener to everyone..
