I got a Sprint (Samsung) phone that was dropped in a fight, and it worked. The dude was from PHX, and got his ass stomped by some dudes from down here, so I would think he would've reported it stolen. It was LOCKED too, but the unlock code was changed to the last 4 of my social security number once they activated it for me.... no questions asked either when I called.

EDIT: Wait... what do you mean by unlocked???

Hey Mark,

Would you know how to find out the subsidy code for my AT&T Sony Ericsson t306 phone if I give you the IMEI? I'm pretty damn sure it's a Tri-Band 900/1800/1900 phone and I to unlock it for when I go to Europe this Summer.

i've bought an unlocked phone from ebay...i have cingular service but bought a t-mobile motorola and my sim card worked fine right out the box....

OK HERE'S THE DRILL:

Sprint and Verizon phones cannot be "unlocked"....They use CDMA technology which is proprietary....

Now AT&T/Cingular/T-Mobile phones use GSM....Those can be "unlocked" to work from one carrier to the next

damn i miss workin in cellular...it was pretty fun man and you do get to know a lot..i'd have peoplecallin me all the time for shit "how do i do this...etc"

and when ya friends buy phones and you get breaded for it...gottalove it...

mtso's, switches, WEBAXE, CBIS Jr and CBIS......the good ole days of Cellular One....

but i've bought phones off ebay for years without a problem...Mark when they say locked..what do they mean...the programming code..like the fuckin *#987# or whatever it was for Nokias

damn im outta touch with this shit...im thinkin they mean if they tryin toi use a Sprint phone with like Nextel or At&t with Sprint...etc..
