Ithaa, the world's first underwater restaurant (pictured), has opened at the stunning Hilton Maldives Resort & Spa, which was named the best resort in the Indian Ocean in 2004.
Ithaa puts you inside the aquarium. Encased in curved, transparent acrylic walls, the underwater restaurant seats just 14 and is surrounded by coral reef. The cuisine is "contemporary Maldivian" (local spices and traditional flavors with a Western twist). And we have a feeling they wouldn't think of watering down the drinks....

shit's a nice concept but i think the furnishing could look better. but in the 5th pic down... why does it feel like im in a study hall or a library. looks more of an underwater library than a restaurant. i like the concept tho.
