Two straight nights of TFOT and Deftones...

I'm all battered up, just came back from my second straight Deftones show...Back to back nights, one in Santa Cruz and one in Stockton...TFOT kicked it off though, and Thomas simply is an amazing guitarist, the crowd sucked tonight but last night it was way better. They only had a 30 minute set but they rocked out! Ex-creations was the shit! I wasn't too big on Dir en Grey, but they sounded good. Finally Deftones, they were just amazing...Oh I lost my autographed TFOT poster twice...so I'm a bit upset.

That's dope, glad you had a great time both times. I was supposed to be seeing them on the 8th but I don't think that is going to happen. Oh well, seeing they are from here TFOT play here quite abit. Always next time I guess.

Out N Salt Lake they did a 2 nite show, not really a big fan as I use to be so I thought I woulda gone but no doe.....heard somebody said it was a good show.

Yeah, these two concerts were probably the best ones i've ever been to, even better than the AFI concerts. You get a chance to talk to any of the guys from TFOT? Andrew's fucking great, the drummer. We talked about bay area rap for like an hour when I got to hang with them at the bar after the show with Portugal in february. Thomas didn't like me much since I kept talking shit about how the Bears shitted on the Seahawks twice lol.

Ohhhh shit they played Slayer hahahaha. That's fucking badass. Thomas told me they were going to start doing more covers when they felt like it. They did Disarm by Smashing Pumpkins when they played here.

I'm kinda mad I didn't go for this tour, but I really didn't want to pay $35 to see 5 TFOT songs, and only being a casual Deftones fan. Hopefully they're going to be on a new one thru the summer before going to Europe.

haha that gif is superb, during the last song, he looped his guitar, put it down, and started doing some heavy screaming, all of my friends thought it was prerecorded...Well, i didn't really get to talk much with them, i small talked with Andrew, and Thomas was upset, i guess the last person said something he didn't want to hear. Your concert looks way better though.

lol ya I heard someone call the closing thing Bat City or something like that, probably doesn't have a name. He uses delay pedals so he can loop a lot of his stuff, which is what he does at that part. At our show he told everyone to get on stage, and since there was only a one foot step seperating the crowd from the stage just about everyone got up there. Thomas tried crowd surfing while screaming and got thrown over the drums and the show ended. Epic shit lol.

haha, woah, ours was overly barracaded,... .How long was the set for you guys? But yeah, I want to see them in a local show type of setting, but i guess that won't happen any time soon. Oh and do you still have the link to the video of the gif in your sig? I just want to show one of my friends the story behind that gif.

My set was like 8 songs, I think. I think I talked about it in the TFOT thread on here. It was in february on the tour with Portugal. The Man, Damiera and Tera Melos.

Thanks! I don't know any of the bands you mentioned in the previous post. He also attempted a guitar throwing trick, he almost finished it though, but he sorta fucked up. All good though. There was one today in Frisco, wonder if anyone from here went...
