TVT Records Gets Hyphy, BARS Awards Return This Fall

After being the label that brought you the the crunk movement's main man, Lil Jon, it looks like TVT Records is aiming to repeat some of that with the bay area's hyphy movement. Not only did they sign the Oakland rappers AE, Speedy, and Ice, better known as The A'z, but they're putting together a compilation of hyphy hits. The project is called just that, Hyphy Hits, and it's looking like the following artists will be featured on it: San Quinn, E-A-Ski, Mac Dre and the Thizz Nation, Messy Marv, and more.

The Bay Area Rap Scene Awards (BARS) returns this year for the second annual event presented by Booyowski of Hipnotik Show. This year it's being held in Las Vegas and you can already start nominating artists for some of the categories over at EnterTheBay.com. Artists who will have albums out by October of this year are eligible, so you know there's alot of headroom; there's definitely alot more heat to come this year! We covered last years event, and if you can't make it out, it's all good -- we got you! We'll have full details later.

whoever's songs are gonna be featured on the "Hyphy Hits" thing is gonna get dumbass money, cuz thats liscensing dough....and besides, Mac Dre isn't gonna make any money off anything anymore, BECAUSE HE'S DEAD!

Thizz might make money or Dre's estate...but wtf would make y'all happy, for his grave to be dug up and the money he's supposed to make be dumped into his coffin, then be re-buried?
