I've been hearing a lot about issues between TV and the internet with sites like youtube putting up clips from shows and the networks making them pull them down. To channels making shows available only on the interent. MSN is going to have streaming episodes of Arrested Development with commercials.

so how long untill TV networks and producers start making special internet editions?

the movie industry (and to some extent television) does it with DVD's. they make unrated, uncut, special editions and offer commentary and never before seen takes.

why don't the networks start doing this with TV shows on the internet?

they could charge or make manditory commerical breaks built in so they could still make money off it.

anyway that's my brilliant half asleep brainfried on a friday at work idea

I just think it's dumb that you could be sent to the pokey for uploading tv shows on youtube for non-commerical purposes.

nah man i'm talking about an ABC drama that is unedited. like where they would normally swear you could hear that on the internet version. chick gets naked in the show but they cut away, see it on the internet version.

unrated & uncut shows

or atleast deleted scenes the type of shit they put on DVD's commentary etc

tellin me people wouldn't pay to watch an unrated uncut version of desperate house wives on the internet even if they still had to watch commercials?
