wuts good.. so i just came from Guitar Center and got some new needles for the 1200s.. i havnt used my turntables since last july and i'm trying to sample/record again through logic and i'm using the mbox 2... can somebody PLEASE go through the steps i need to do to get some sound from the turntable... thanks.

EDIT: Question: I have the RCA from the 1200 plugged into the in&out on the mbox.. is that correct? or should i be running it through the line?

ideally you should run the 1200 into a phono pre-amp first, then into the line-in of the mbox.
turntables output phono signals which are not only significantly lower than line level but also need RIAA equalization to restore the signal to original.
i think there is a software phono pre-amp you can find somewhere but im not sure how well it works.
if you got a dj mixer you can just use that, go 1200s > dj mixer > line in of mbox.

What Seasinz said is correct. But if you use a DJ mixer instead of phono pre-amp you will get a different result. DJ mixer's dont have the RIAA equalization curve on them so the sound will be different at some frequencies than what was on the original recording.
