My group Turf Grindaz opened up for Outtasite and Sir-Mix-Alot in Wenatchee, WA. and we were also featured in a few articles as well. Check it out:

WENATCHEE — Seattle hip-hop artist Outtasite makes a stop April 30 at the downtown Ballroom, 27 N. Chelan Ave. above the Volcano Club, bringing with him a legend of Northwest rap: Sir Mix-A-Lot.

The two first collaborated in 1996 on Mix-A-Lot’s single “Fonk4da B.L.V.D.,” four years after Mix burst onto the national scene with the hit “Baby Got Back.” Outtasite was also part of Subset, the Seattle supergroup that included Mix-A-Lot and members of the Presidents of the United States of America. His rock-driven hip-hop style, powered by guitarist Joel Davila, was featured on the Xbox game “Project Gotham Racing 2” and on the 2008 CD “Careful What You Wish For,” issued on Mix-A-Lot’s Rhyme Cartel Records.

Sir Mix-A-Lot was a Seattle hip-hop star from his earliest recordings, like the single “Posse on Broadway” and the 1988 album “Swass,” which sold more than a million copies in two years. His 1992 debut on Def American Records, “Mack Daddy,” boasted “Baby Got Back” as its lead single and won the 1993 Grammy for best solo rap performance. He worked with Subset between 1996 and 2000, and released his own full-length album, “Daddy’s Home,” in 2003. He’s continued to produce other artists and issue their music on Rhyme Cartel, including Outtasite and singer Tomeka.

The 9 p.m. April 30 show, open to patrons 21 and older, also features rap duo Turf Grindaz. Get advance tickets for $15 at Electric Rays Tanning Spa, 212 Fifth St.; tickets at the door are $20. Only 500 tickets are available, and 100 had already sold early this week. For an extra $20 pass, you can get in on a meet-and-greet at 4:30 p.m. at the Volcano Club, with a chance to get autographs and photos with the artists. Meet-and-greet passes are also available through Electric Rays. For more information, call 888-3484.

Here is another article with us in it as well:

Who knew Wenatchee is home to so many rap fans?

A line of people trying to get into the ballroom above the Volcano Club on Friday night to see Sir Mix-A-Lot snaked down Chelan Avenue and Palouse Street. But since only 100 tickets were available, many got turned away.

But Seattle’s Cin’atra of Turf Grindaz, the opening act for Sir, said Wenatchee liked them so much, event organizers asked them to come back to perform another show Saturday night, free of charge to the 21-and-over crowd.

“Yeah, they put me up in a hotel and everything,” he said.

So, the big question on everyone’s mind who didn’t get into the show: Did Sir-Mix-A-Lot sing his 1992 rap classic “Baby Got Back?”

“Oh, my God, Becky” ... what do you think?

@Localstar907,

Thanks man! I appreciate the feedback. It justs feels good to be noticed and appreciated for your talents.

@KhameNei,

Yeah! That's how I found out about your website. Thank you very much for your review. It is really appreciated. I am working on a new solo album and it is going to be a monster. I promise that. I just banged out a track with Smigg Dirtee that is a monster called "Don't Mind Trickin'".

I got some surprises coming.

Once again, thanks for the review.

PEACE & BLESSINGS
