What it do folks,
My gal copped me an xbox and a pair of logitech f540s for Chrimbus. I had a ps3 previously so I'm not used to the xbox.
Anyways I'm having trouble connecting the headset to the box. I went to the settings>preferences>voice like I'm sposed but... the voice selection is greyed out so I can't select it.
I can't find shit on the net on this. I guess the shit is funky cuz this headset just came out.
Any advice on this?
BTW fuckin microsoft. When I tried to sign up for xbl they say enter your email. I used gmail and entered the shit, but then they ask for a password, "like the password you use for windows live, hotmail etc... (microsoft owned bullshit programs). They do not specify that if you have an independent email provider that they WILL NOT let you sign up! WTF. So I login and they say no good. They direct me to xbox/loginhelp or somehting and the first thing that happens is a popup trying to get me to get on internet explorer. I'm using firefox. But they never cop to the fact that you have to sign up with one of their bullshit programs just to register for xbl. WTF they're gonna get my money anyways! It's a passive aggressive way to sign you up on their bullshit.
Another gripe: the headset I got needs an rca audio cable connected to it to be able to transmit audio. There is a tab molded onto the rca output that comes with xbox that blocks the hdmi cable. So I cant run the hdmi and the rca outs simultaneously unless I cut off the shitty plastic tab they put on there. These assholes are out of control.
With PS you can run both the rca outs and the hdmi outs simultaneously so it will accommodate both the surround sound (VIA the receiver) and the headset (via rca outs).
