Tron was not teleported but born to earth – despite evidence to the contrary – on August 29th, 1982. He grew up in the Bronx and just like every other black boy from the hood he wanted to be a cartoonist… (yea, I’m fuckin with ya – who the hell wants to be a cartoonist?) But that was Tron – always different, always pushing against expectations. At the age of 17, however, things changed drastically for him. After an unfortunate incident involving a few pumps and a faulty basketball (but that’s a long story), he had severely interrupted his future as a visual artist, and for the first time, turned to a different mode of self-expression. Enter Tron the beat-maker and the big bang that created Tronworld. His beats were hotter than anyone had expected, friends and family include.
In 2001, Tron began producing for a local hip-hop trio, TASKFORCE. Within one year, he was spreading his wings as an artist and laid a few tracks for the group. From that moment on, the competition was fucked. (You laugh, but I’m not playing, have you heard “Pose for the Camera”) As a member of TASKFORCE, Tron traveled across the pond to perform in the greater London area. Stateside, TASKFORCE was producing crowd favorites with their tracks “Special” and “Gear Galore.”
After eight years of local shows and more singles than a stripper, Tron once again shifted his career by venturing out as a solo artist. With 30+ shows under his belt and countless new talent showcases.
So ladies and gentlemen, young and old, fans and execs alike, for your safety please, leave your expectations and worn out stereotypes at home with a loved one, because you are now entering Tronworld. Are you ready?
