I DON'T KNOW IF THIS HAS BEEN POSTED BEFORE BUT I JUST WATCHED THAT MOVIE AND IT WAS COO'. IT WAS KIND OF LIKE WATCHIN' A "COLORS II" . AND JUST LIKE THE FIRST "COLORS" THE BLOODS WERE MADE TO LOOK WEAK AND THE CRIPS WERE LOAKS. THE SURENOS WERE LOAKS TOO JUST LIKE "COLORS"(EVEN THOUgH THEY WERE 21 ST ON COLORS) BUT THE MOVIE WAS HELL OF COO' AND DENZEL WELL DESERVED HIS OSCAR(MY NIggA).

yeah the jungles is a real place, in the crenshaw area of south central all blood hood mostly Black P-Stones

and there wuz crips in that movie when they went to the Imperial Courts projects in Watts and had that shoot out, after denzel took money from "Sandman"'s house

the reason why they were able to film in the Jungles is becuz the producer is from south central and he wuz homies with some foo from Athens Park Bloods

THEM RIPS WASN'T HAVIN' IT. BUT THE BLOODS HOOD "THE JUNgLES" I BELIEVE IS INgLEWOOD.

AND WHY I SAY THE BLOODS WERE MADE TO LOOK WEAK CAUSE DENZEL HAD THEM ALL PUNKED, LIVIN' IN THEY SHIT AND THEY WOULDN'T BUST A gRAPE. ON THE OTHA HAND, THE RIPS WASN'T gIVIN' A FUK AND PUT HOLES IN HIS BUCCET.

BUT IT WAS COO' HAD THAT DAMU NIggA TRAINED THEM DOVES TO WARN MUTHA-FUKAS THAT LONZO(DENZEL) WAS IN THEY HOOD.

I just watched this movie a few days ago..

The crips shot at Denzel because they didn't know him, and Macy Gray was shouting that they weren't the cops and had stole her money...plus, look at the car they were driving and they didn't have any backup...it was easy to blast and react without thinking much just based on Sandman's girls screams...

and the bloods kept it real cuz they all knew him and add to that the fact that he had helped a few of them stay out of trouble. "Thanks for lookin out for the homey," one blood said earlier in the movie if you can remember.

On the birds note, I've heard about people "flippin birds" to show their power in the hood to have the birds at their command...I don't believe that had anything to do with Denzel bein around. (plus it tells a little bit about the birds in the documentary)

I have a few homeboys that lived in the jungles and it's right by Crenshaw (behind it I believe). Most of Crenshaw is Crips but people in the jungle mostly go to a different school (forget the name) and I heard there is funk there all the time.

^LOOK AT THE MOVIE AgAIN. DENZEL EVEN TELL HIS WHITEBOY BUDDY THAT THEY TRAIN THE BIRDS SO WHEN HE COMES THEY FLY AND COMMAND THEM TO FLY SO THE WHOLE HOOD KNOW HE AROUND.

i see.

but i still don't see why the bloods would appear like punks. they basically had no choice but to play along with lonzo cause he had the upper hand. after all he had done them some favors and he was from the LAPD with some killas behind him that didn't give a fuck. they hated him but knew that they couldn't do shit.
but when they had the chance, they took revenge and hold him until hawke's character (don't remember the name) got away.
i thought they were some cool-ass mothafuckas cause they saw who the phony bitch was (lonzo) and even helped a whiteboy instead of a brother.
