When worlds collide we are often left with something so great that it changes the face of how we previously looked at things. The combination of two Hip Hop artists from rival sides of a city is never an easy task but when it works out, you are left with something great and San Diego’s Track Wide E.N.T. has stepped out to prove when worlds collide the face of San Diego music will be changed for the best.
Born and raised in rival neighborhoods of San Diego’s infamous streets, Mischif and Deuce ILL grew up surrounded by drama in the streets and found music as a creative outlet to vent their frustrations. As they both grew up they began developing their musical abilities and studying those who came before them in Hip Hop. Early in their life if you had told them that they would be recording with each other they would have laughed at the craziness of coming together with a rival. As they grew older however they matured and realized that it was time to move past the issues of the streets and coming together to create something truly great was just the thing San Diego was missing.
In 2006 the two entered the studio for the first time and immediately saw that the combination of their two very different styles and personalities complimented each other and created classic music. At first many individuals in San Diego doubted that the two could stay together but just like the famous combination of the very different members of Outkast, Trackwide proved the doubters wrong and continued to record. As they continued to record and network the streets began to demand material from Trackwide and they released their debut mixtape “Beast On The Beat.” The great reception this project received led the guys to releasing their follow up project “ The Movement.” The buzz around Trackwide after the release of their two projects led to the creation of their very popular mixtape “Metaphor Music.” The release of “Metaphor Music” has led to Trackwide recording with a great mix of popular San Diego MC’s as well as doing shows at some of San Diego’s most popular venues such as Decos, On Broadway, and The Static Lounge.
The combination of two individuals from rival sides of San Diego has led to the creation of something great and as Trackwide prepares for their future releases they stand as a shining example of two worlds colliding and creating something great.
