Tower Records must meet a quota by the end of Sept or NO MORE
TOWER RETAIL CHAINS. Also there's a rumor going around that Bayside may be on it's wayout if the Tower chains vanish as well. Some people ask, "Suave, why are you so concerned, you're running R.N.D. WEST?, my response is, I want to help those labels that may not have a distribution home like "Out of Bounds" whom no longer have distribution. If Bayside Urban department goes down this means that alot of labels will be without homes and we're willing to house them with open arms. Wherehouse records are gone, Towers on the wayout, but the advantage that we have is the new retail chain that will take over, we have a very good relationship with, I mean a VERY GOOD RELATIONSHIP.


Mid-October, R.N.D. Distribution Executives will be having a meeting in San Francisco at the Embassy Suites with labels and artist seeking distribution. Basically letting the labels no that R.N.D. West will be based in Sacramento,Ca and ran by myself, (Suave) and a supporting staff.


BOTTOM LINE: If you're looking for a distribution company to break bread, takecare of your marketing & promotion budget and you do not have reasonable soundscan #'s from your last release,
we can't honor that. Having 700 soundscans won't get you a budget from this company. Now if you have 50,000 and above, then we can work a deal. If you have no soundscans, prove to us that you can move units and hustle the streets then we can go to the negotiation table.

As far as the Moss Maja situation on the soundclick, he's not Involved with the R.N.D. situation, I manage Moss Maja and he's fucking wit the major's, the soundclick is just a marketing tool, it's worldwide promotion so we utalize every marketing tool that's available. As far as the 50,000 remark, folks feel if they sell 1,000 units the distributor is obligated to cash them out, or even 5,000 units, not true, you have folks like Lil Flip selling over 100,000 Independently without a major deal. WreckShop Records from Houston selling 100,000, Cash Money before they where signed to a major, E-40, Too Short, so If you can't prove to me that your label can move units why should I cash you out. 5,000 units aint shit when you have cats selling 50,000 plus.

Now the Out of Bounds situation: I'm a businessman, I don't know what happened between you and Out of Bounds but on the business perspective It's my job to grab the cats that has a track record of record sells.

Call So So Def/Arista and ask for Frank Nitty, which is the Young Bloodz manager, I just did a tour with those cats. I think that should be enough. That's if you where reffering to me.
