Anybody who signs up for a tournament and does not show up will not be welcome to the next tournament. When you sign up for a tournament, you are expected to be there, and your lack of attendence ruins the tournament and is an insult to your challenger.

people should be required to check in. my opponent led me to believe he wasnt showing by not checking in, thus my no show verse. I think its only right that check ins be required or something

Check ins are a bitch move in my opinion. They're kind of like saying "I am aware I have to battle you, but I'm gonna use the full week to write my rhyme." Personally, I think anybody who doesn't immediately click the reply button after seeing their name posted in a battle is waiting for their partner to post up a track so that they can reply to it. Why would you wait for your opponent to post up a track? That just means you're purposely taking the upperhand. Anybody who is in a battle should write a battle rhyme regardless of whether or not their opponent shows up, because that is professionalism and good sportsmanship. Anybody who doesn't post up a verse within the time period of the tournament that they signed up for does not deserve to advance to the next round.

(Keep in mind that this isnt meant to be a punishment to you. I posted this rule up after your no-show, so you ARE welcome in the next tournament. Its just that no-shows have been a lot more frequent in the past two tournaments.)

I understand everything you said, but dude.. you gotta understand I'm in leagues and tourneys all over the net, so I hate wasting a verse on a no show. if I dont have to write for someone I dont, and I dont write for someone until I see they checked in, thats just how I do. I'm guessing you havent been no showed on 292929292 times?? , well I have and believe me after the 29290292th time you start to take things like check ins more seriously.

stop being a couple of fairies and just battle with us haha j/j I don't battle at all, because it's not my style at all. I can come up with punchlines and stuff, but somehow not directed at someone I'm battling. Not sure why.

Most of these fools probably pre-write their stuff anyways, check in or not
