what are some good albums to be released lately?

i have been back in my backpack hiphop mode lately just because its easier to hear of new albums without having to check the internet. i think the only rock album i have listened to in the last few months is AFI

give a quick top 5 of albums i need to be listening to then i will go back afterwards and actually look for myself

thanks

I still have to check that new Frightened Rabbit out, I've heard mixed things though.

I back RJ on all his but Foxy Shazam. But I've never liked them.

I'd say for some different flavor check out..

Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti - Before Today
Pygmy Lush - In a Hole
Beach Fossils - Self Titled
The Tallest Man On Earth - The Wild Hunt
Minus the Bear - Omni

All those are in the upload thread but if you need any help cause of dead links let me know.

I love threads like this, although I've been just listening to old shit lately. my recent album downloads include raheem devaughn (which was alright, had a couple jams) and Sade.....not quite the direction this thread is going.

I don't recognize any names so I youtube'd the most interesting names (foxy shazam.....thanks but no thanks....Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti, tooo lo-fi for me....and minus the bear, which I liked and downloaded)

for those that posted, are there any particular songs to listen to that'll give a feel for the artist/album?

New Tabacco (Black Moth Super Rainbow) is fuckin ill.

Not sure if you are a scene fan, but the new I Am Abomination is really good. Been playing for the last week. Also, the new Secret & Whisper is damn good.

New Sevendust if you are into them. Much better record than their last 3 efforts.

The new The Dead Weather is MUCH better than their first effort.

Also, the Black Keys is MY SHIT. They did some experimental stuff on here that will blow your mind, man.

The new Rosetta is awesome, as expected.

God Is An Astronaut just came out...really good...but what else is new?
