i was just wondering who you guys think are the top 3 performers you have ever seen for me
1.RUN DMC its like a fucking history of rap watching them.Everything is well i should say was perfect when they were on stage.
2.ICE CUBE again he rocks the crowd great stage presence WC always backing him up as the hype man with crazy tunes as the dee jay and if the promoter has some extra bread you throw in mack 10 and they just rip west coast gangster rap and have the whole fuckin crowd into it from cali to france.
3.TOO SHORT ive seen short rock the mic about 10 times and i was never mad at him.How a true performance should be short his dj and my boy PO short hype man. They keep the crowd into it from the jump having the whole crowd scream bitch over and over and again if the paper is right short could be up there for an hour and half doing his thing.

San Quinn...suprised the fuck out of me, he's got MAJOR stage presence...plus everyone knows his lyrics, so it's tight at his show

oops i meant Nina Simone- famous jazz/blues singer, she just passed away this month RIP....saw her last year on my birthday...she was OLDDD and just seriously wreckin shop!!!

Digital Underground and 2 Pac...when they used to perform together, damn best show i've ever seen...back in 91 they put on a show in SF and it was on Pay Per View(how my 8 yr old ass saw it...lmao had to tape over my copy of Dumbo) it had Queen Latifah, Naughty By Nature, 2 Pac and Digital Underground...all came tight, but especially pac and D.U

wish i woulda grown up in the old school so i coulda seen BDP, NWA, Kool G, Big Daddy Kane, Too Short and all them perform...

IN NO ORDER!

1. Andre Nickatina- Is an underground artist but holds his shows down like his is 2pac back from the dead or something...EVERYONE in the crowd sings his lyrics.

2. Outkast- These guys can rock any party no matter whos there. Great charisma and DJs and got vocals for days and also dress up like some fools just to fit a concert setting. Probly the best performers I ever seen.

3. Xzibit-He doesnt really do anything special in his shows but he spits from the heart and it shows. He dont dance or bring bitches on the stage to get attention, but when X to the Z starts spittin the whole crowd is moving to the music.

I've been to a shit ton of rap shows, but they've all been mainstream. I'm just waiting for someone to come to the Mid-West.... hopefully this summer that'll happen

On another note, I think jay Z puts on the worst show. Given i've only seen him onTV, but it seems he exerts no energy. He basically sits there and just talks into the mic. I mean i'm not asking for a MC hammer show but c'mon, if i was feeding off his stage presence, i'd be rail thin.

She passed away last month? Damn I would've loved to see her live.

Her album "At last" gets a lot of rotation....

1. Isley Brothers - Before all that punk ass Mr. Bigg shit. Cool show in Oakland 1994. Ronald tore shit up, Ernie on guitar, Ronald brought his wife out (Angela Winbush) and she did some of her old cuts too. Classic. ((Honorable mentions: Deniece Williams, Blue Magic, The Originals, Delfonics, War, Malo, GQ, Barbara Mason, The Escorts...))

2. R Kelly- 12 play tour/Bud Superfest when it hit San Jose 1994. Good show, R Kelly can sing his ass off. He had the whole stage hooked up like some futuristic shit. He just needs to stay away from them lil girls.

3. Outkast - I have seen alot of rap shows, from the biggest names to the most local. These cats right here tho, kept a nicca lookin at the stage. Just from the stage presence and song selections. Most show I seen it was just the artist sittin up there rappin so you really dont be focused on them you just tryin to get at the bitches in the crowd, but these cats did the damn thang.
