Took-N-Bone was politically conscience old school hip-hop group out of Flint, Michigan that followed the fundamentals of the religion of Islam. Took-N-Bone was Took, a DJ named Azeem (IZ?), and Bone. Basically Took-N-Bone was a trio. Most of their music was recorded and produced at Silver Sun Studios in Flint.
They were a mid 90s hip hop group that started out in 1993. Took-N-Bone did a self-titled EP on cassette only in 1994. And along with a cassette single called Basically Hit.

They were trying to be gangsta by calling Ira Dorsey (Shoestring) "Isy" and a fat bitch on a diss track aimed at TDF called Basically Hit. They made joke on Matthew Hinkle too. Took-N-Bone dissed TDF because they were trying to get recognition I believe and TDF saw that as a threat. So TDF dissed Took-N-Bone on the WOMM? album. Took-N-Bone was dissing every gangsta rap group at that time in Flint except for DOA, NFTP, DFC, and Top Authority.

In 1994 TDF dissed Took-N-Bone all over the WOMM? album on songs like Watch Yo Ass, Flint Niggaz Don't Play, and Smoke For Free. TDF dissed Took-N-Bone so hard that it ended their career. Why? I don't know. We may never know the whole story.
