Mayne I'm just wakin up after slidin thru the all night video shoot for Too Short's "Blow The Whistle" video at Club Mingles in the "O"... My dude from Jive Records flew out from New York and invited me to the shoot, and mayne I'm glad I brought my cam camera cause it was definitely the bizness jumpin off ya dig... Everybody in there wit a cam camera was gettin shut down except me and a few other bosses. Damn near everybody was up in there, especially my Oakland comrades. Bernard Gourley, the same cat that used to own Swerve Records back in the day, directed the video, as well as the "Tell Me When To Go" video. Shit was mad wild wit all the dreads goin dumb. You might even catch me in a scene wit DJ Juice goin Stupid ya dig... Anyway, it was a peaceful event that went from like 9 in the morning yesterday til about 2AM this morning... Hopefully this video helps in pushing the Bay scene in the right direction. Let me see if I can remember who was there:
Too Short of course, Richie Rich, The Delinquents, Bavgate, Mistah F.A.B. Dem Hoodstarz, B-Legit, Clyde Carson, Keak Da Sneak, D-Shot, Mac Shawn, Nump, Chuy Gomez and some KMEL staff, Ray Bones from EPA, Flex, DJ Juice, Doonie, Sean Kennedy wit the Ill Trendz staff, Bijan from the Madd Idiots, Dollars & Spence, Traxamillion, Gorilla Pits, Andy Kawanami, FM Blue, Dom P from Richmond, Numbskullz Caliban, DJ Amen, Malika, a bunch of beautiful ladies and others I can't remember. Plus hundreds of Oakland's finest goin dumber than a muthafucka. History in the making. As usual a boss such as myself was networkin real big! I'll try to put up pics.... E&K Music Group fuckin wit all the realest shit this year ya dig...

good to see a legend like short bring it back to the essence. 5 years ago they would have shot that shit in los angeles or atlanta and would not have thought twice about it. 40 and short is leading the way once again
