Tech is taking a huge risk with this FTI thing, all we can hope is that the whole thing doesnt backfire.....

I'm just glad to see that Tech has enuff confidence in the music to say "here take the shit, you're gonna like it, i know it, just show me enuff respect to buy it after you d/l it"......thats a really ballsy move....but a smart one as well.....

FYI.....the tracks on therealtechn9ne cannot be burned to cd. Not only are they low quality (96Kbps...less than tape quality), they are also encoded at 32khz....mp3s must be 44khz to burn them to cd. So while Strange Music hooked it up with the mp3s, they were also smart enough to make sure that shit couldnt be burned to cd.

you can burn em on a cd. just requires a little fuckin around to be done. ofcourse it's not gonna sound as good as 16 bit 44.1KHZ.
it'll sort of be like makin a zerox of a photograph and then printing a copy of the zerox on high quality photopaper. or something :[

yea, you could just decode the mp3 to a wav file... then re-encode it with the parameters you wanted.... & you're right.. it wont sound quite as good, but i can't imagine it would be shitty.. so good thinkin strange music, but you know there are ways around most of this shit on a pc.

but thats still a good ass idea to make it like they did.. cuz most people will sit there & look at what i just typed & go, whoa... how do you do that? so good call...

peace

i tried to have them posted @ 128, the "ahem" big wigs in cali,
seem to think that everyone who has the capability to burn cd's, also has software that will convert the files to the correct bitrate.
dont fret though
cali does the talkin
we do the 'doin
if enough people bring it up, it will take minutes to change.
