Rapper Tone Loc wasn't doing the Wild Thing when he collapsed early this morning during a performance in North Florida, apparently suffering a seizure due to hot weather.
Tone, born Anthony Terrell Smith, was taken away from the Capt'n Fun Beach Club in an ambulance after succumbing to the heat, according to a spokesman for the Escambia County Sheriff's Department.
The singer had made several comments about the heat throughout his show, according to the Pensacola News Journal, and has suffered seizures in the past.
Loc, who made it big with '80s hits like 'Funky Cold Medina' and 'Wild Thing,' has also appeared in several films including 'Ace Ventura: Pet Detective' and 'Heat.'
