Was inspired by the Mike Tyson thread...

This is one of my favorite Tommy Hearns moments, he was so fuckin explosive those two short rounds, a true beat down in every sense, starting at about 1:30. The punch to the gut at about 2:50 literally takes duran off his feet! And then finally the KO blow at 5:04, brutal!

Just thought I'd share in case anyone hasn't seen it or wants to see it again.

Hearns probably has the greatest right hand ever. I've seen those KO's before and Duran fell flat on his face. My boy at work was trying to make an excuse for Duran talking about he was past his prime. It didn't matter... Duran was scared of Hearns' right hand. You can tell from the way he was fighting.

Check this 1st round KO
Thomas "Hit Man" Hearns vs. James "Black Gold" Shuler (22-0)

fuck, dude is like frozen on the mat after getting ko'd.

Sad note though, Shuler was killed in motorcycle accident one week after this fight

I dunno if there was ever a time period when boxing was that exciting, I mean you had four LEGENDS fighting at the same time and in the same weight class! that shit never happens. Duran, Sugar Ray, Hagler, Hearns. And even Wilfred Benitez. If any of the guys fought alone they would have dominated. But as for boxing now, I think it's still exciting, 2007 was probably one of the best years for boxing in recent memory. You just got to pay attention or else it goes unnoticed by the media for the most part, besides like mayweather and oscar
