im in the process of picking up a new computer...just the tower...whats a god brand to go with...im talking in the price range of 500 to 700...is it better if i have the company just build oneespecially for me...those ones they build you sound reasonably priced for all the shit that comes with it.

so what is a good brand?
compaq?
gateway?
e machines?
etc?
etc?
etc?

fucc compaq you don't want none of that or other pre installed machines... they just give you lots of trouble

the best and cheapest thing to do is just buy all the parts you need and put them together and build your own computer.

if you don't got the skills to do that.. just go to a store and name all the shit you want in your comp like what: graf card, hard disk, cdrom player etc etc. and ask that they build it for you

this way it cost a little more then building it yourself but it's MUCH cheaper then buying a compaq or other brand and WAY easier to maintain.

if you got any questions just hit me up at my pm or something

Hey bro I just recently got a new computer. I was gonna go with dell or something like that but my boy can put them together. For a flat 700$ this is what I gots.

AMD 1700 athlon processor
512 mb DDR ram
60 gig Hd 7200
16X burner
Dvd player
5.1 surround sound
64 mb Geforce 2
zip drive

I dont think for 700$ you could find a better deal. If I were you id find someone who can put them together for you. Or go to a computer show, they got some great deals there. You will end up with a way faster computer and wont have all that coporate bullshit on your comp.

If you want a computer, it's better if you build it yourself. You could save money that way and it'll be the exact same way you want it to be.
It looks like a complicated process, but if you open your computer, it's not as difficult as it seems.
