I'm not going to go into too much detail on this PPV, which I actually paid for. It was a very solid ppv, and Lethal and AJ stole the fuckin' show for sure. There were at least 4 instances where I saw some great moves I've never even seen before in this one match alone.

But here's my fucking problem.... Bubba Ray is fighting Jesse something or other (another really good match)... and then TOMMY FUCKING DREAMER shows up in the crowd for the distraction on Bubba. Jesse Whoever gets the win, they show Dreamer, then CUT TO HULK FUCKING HOGAN who doesn't even bring it up. He talks about... I don't even know. I was completely in shock that they just had Dreamer finally show up. They showed ten seconds of him, and DON'T MENTION IT FOR THE REST OF THE SHOW.

If you were going to do that, why make it the like... 4th match on the card with two hours left in the show? They completely shot their wad in the first hour, then pretended nobody fuckin' saw it. It was almost as if Tommy Dreamer literally bought a ticket to the show, they caught him in the audience for a min then didn't mention him again.

THEN.. The main fucking event... ::sigh:: First of all the match was only ten mins long. It was the shortest match on the card and they ended ten mins early.

The biggest problem here, is that they've been hyping Sting with this "deception" angle. He's been teasing that he's going to "explain" what he's been beating the shit out of everyone for, etc. It's been one of their most compelling angles thus far. They even bothered to stretch it out over a few months now. So it turned out that RVD wins in ten mins. Then the show ends.

No questions answered, no ECW run-ins. Sting didn't even win. You have Dreamer in the house and use him to distract Bubba Ray instead of having him run-in to help either Sting or RVD??? I mean this is common fucking sense.

Also I like the part where they cut to Sting in the rafters and there's no crowd noise, the lighting is different, etc.

Like I said, the wrestling on the show was the shit. Even the knockouts match was brutal as fuck. I can't think of a time I saw a broad bleeding all over the ring. But... how do you fuck up what should have been a great build to Dreamer/Heyman/ECW angle?

The match went off pretty well considering she got busted wide the fuck open with the mic before they even rang the bell. It started off with the crowd just not giving a shit but with a broad running around leaving bloody faceprints all over the mat... They got into it kind of quickly.

I should mention there were at least two times in the Angle/Kazarian match where the camera was held on a closeup of their faces and you could see them either chatting with the ref or with each other. Also, you didn't catch it during the actual match, but afterward ON THE REPLAY, you could clearly see the ref handing a blade to Abyss to sell the glass angle. I'm sure not too many people would notice unless they were looking for it, but it came off as very amateur. Not even on the wrestlers part either, it was really just that the production team still doesn't know how to edit a live show.

I thought Kazarian vs. Angle was the best match. Gotta go back and watch the Lethal/Styles match cause I wasn't fully paying attention

Says the guy with an entire thread hyping 20 year old vids...

(anywho)

Kazarian and Angle was great... But so was all the wrestling, really.
I guess you havnt actually looked at or watched any of the videos in my thread

and it still blows my mind that you refuse to watch good wrestling matches with way more action than anything TNA or WWE puts out.

also there is a big difference between enjoying the past and trying to recreate it

And yet every day in this very forum I see people say "WWE should bring back the 'Attitude' era type shit"...
Its still a lot different to bring back a slightly older WWE Attitude Era concept than it is to resurrect a dead company....

And thats alright because WWE has only regressed into a very old PG concept. People want the better story lines and action from the Attitude Era. Unlike ECW which was.... lets just face it just people hitting eachother with blunt objects and a whole bunch of people who just couldnt wrestle...well to be fair at one point ECW was WRESTLING... but that all changed.

but I digress....

you got your CZW, XPW, Hardcore Homecomings, and just about anyone trying to bring back the ECW era when really their was nothing to bring back. ECW story lines were a lot of the times too extreme for your WWF WCW at the time so whats left?? just the violence that everyone does to death.

you still havnt answered my question about why dont like the Puro matches :ermm:

The Attitude Era concept was because of said "dead" company.

In response to why I "don't like" Jap wrestling, whatever you want to call it... Honestly it's neither here nor there. I just think it's funny that if you clung any harder to Japanese wrestling's dick, you'd be it's nutsack.

At this point I'm pretty sure you just have an asian fetish.

That doesnt mean ECW needs to be brought back
But what it DOES mean, is that your point is bullshit. If you want me to go poke around and if you're gonna make me do all the cut and paste work... I can.

Or I can just make you think I'm sexy so you won't argue anymore.

Me love you long time, boku sir.

I'll kick you in the face while I say that if it makes you happy.
If you actually watched the Jap matches you would understand why i pimp it so much
Explain that to your battered penis.

How is my point bullshit? ECW died... WWE didnt. You only want to bring back "hardcore" that or a bunch of old wrestlers who can no longer wrestle any more. More to the point do you really believe ECW was the first "Hardcore Wrestling" company? Attitude Era may have been slightly in response to ecw but it was more in response to the times... everyone was stepping their game up and fans wanted more. So, yes please go ahead and post whatever copy paste you need to.

BTW while your loving me long time dont forget to lick my taint

dont forget to watch the Jap matches... it wont hurt you to watch something good for a change :lick:

Man, you're arguing the wrong point.

I don't give a fuck how old a motherfucker is. That would be like saying you liked Bruce Willis when he was young, but he's not cool NOW. Uh... The Rolling Stones had hits but they are too old to play music now... Bruce Campbell was cool but he's just old and useless now.

You act as if the Rock ever had a move in the ring even when he was new. Dude never knew anything past 4-5 moves in his prime and you wouldn't watch if he came back? You wouldn't watch if Stone Cold came back? GTFO.

When the fuck did I say that ECW was the first hardcore wrestling company? You're just a dude with nothing to say trying to make up his own little arguments and pretty much talking to himself at this point.

You're like.. "It's time for new ideas, not living in the past"... But Yoshi Tatsu is THE FUCKING PAST that you're trying to get us all to watch. You still don't make a bit of sense talking about "the future, fuck the past" and then the only thing you like is OLD SHIT. It's fuckin' stupid, sir.

ECW is old and wack to you, but then you post vids from the 70's-80's as if they're some sort of lost holy relics from fabled wrestling past that you dug up. Hey man... If the shit's so hot, how come you're the only one in America who gives more than just a teeny bit of a fuck? I guess you're just way too smart and far superior to any mere mortal American wrestling fan.

You think we've never seen a deathmatch?

Who goes to Japan and makes tons of money as a top star? Americans. Who comes back here and makes (sometimes) tons of money as a top star? Same Americans. When did a Japanese anything ever come to America and be better at anything unless they were born 7 feet tall?

Old, new.. whatever man. I wanna see the fuckin' people I like. What the fuck is your big idea for what's hot in wrestling? Should we import every fuckin' baby that falls out of a Japanese woman, put it in tights, and teach it to backflip with a mask on?

And btw, I'd lick your taint if I didn't have to get past ten layers of bullshit to even get to the scar where they cut your balls off.

so... you want to watch old people who cant wrestle any more get in the ring and try to wrestle? you must be loving the flair and hogan matches in TNA

You act as if the Rock ever had a move in the ring even when he was new. Dude never knew anything past 4-5 moves in his prime and you wouldn't watch if he came back? You wouldn't watch if Stone Cold came back? GTFO.
When did I say anything about them? what does any of that have to do with anything? Who said older WWE wrestlers couldnt do anything?

not only that but they are still in shape and still have the ability to probably put on a good match

as apposed to 90% of the old ECW roster
You're like.. "It's time for new ideas, not living in the past"... But Yoshi Tatsu is THE FUCKING PAST that you're trying to get us all to watch. You still don't make a bit of sense talking about "the future, fuck the past" and then the only thing you like is OLD SHIT. It's fuckin' stupid, sir.
Yoshi Tatsu is the fucking past? whats that supposed to mean? he is a new wrestler to WWE and is only 32. AND still has more in ring skill than half of the WWE wrestlers.

Ssomething cant be old IF YOU NEVER SAW IT BEFORE!

And this statement clearly proves that you dont watch my matches since I post current stuff all the time... So please check it out before you post :lick:

Did I say I didnt like ECW? NO i said I dont want to see them wrestling today. or bringing back the "hardcore" concept

And as I sad I enjoy the past... it doesnt mean I want to see that style wrestled today.

I also find it very hard to believe that Im the only American that cares since every wrestling company today has used and still uses Jap wrestlers. TNA was using the NJPW tag belts and Heavyweight Title and still has a working relation with NJPW.

You think we've never seen a deathmatch?

Thats completely wrong. A small handful of americans have made it big in japan and that was in the maybe a total of 8 or 9 americans 80's-90's

Most Americans work as jobbers now :ermm:

Japs are naturally small so they dont fit into American wrestling.... Its all about being pushed properly like Muta or The Ultimo Dragon.

Old, new.. whatever man. I wanna see the fuckin' people I like. What the fuck is your big idea for what's hot in wrestling? Should we import every fuckin' baby that falls out of a Japanese woman, put it in tights, and teach it to backflip with a mask on?

If you start watching the matches you might like new people... I know new things and change can be scary but it will be ok

I told you to open your mind and just watch a current match before you started judging them is all....

There really haven't been any. And have you seen Flair in TNA at all? The guy is cutting promo's like nobody's business. Why should I pretend like I NEED to see young talent and pretend like I DON'T want to see Ric Flair? That shit is stupid IMO.
I also find it very hard to believe that Im the only American that cares since every wrestling company today has used and still uses Jap wrestlers. TNA was using the NJPW tag belts and Heavyweight Title and still has a working relation with NJPW.
Uh huh... That's a really lucrative market.

Man. I don't believe this started out as an argument about your fuckin' Japanese wrestlers. YES, I want to see the old ECW guys. YES, I like to see Hogan and Nash and whoever the fuck else.

Why shouldn't I?

Why should ECW be considered "dead" and "in the past" when the same motherfuckers are still around?

Do you think the Dudley's can put on a good match? Shawn Fucking Micheals is older than a lot of those guys, the Undertaker is older than a lot of those guys, and who gives a fuck. Those two broken down old fucks put on one of the, if not THE best match in Wrestlemania history. TWICE.

I think the problem is, I'm talking emotional investment into "characters", and you're talking emotional investment in asians in panties.

Sure, asian panty wrestling is good wrestling. Do I care enough to watch 800 videos of it? No. Is it wrong for a dude to like old shit he grew up on all of a sudden? It's not as if I'm talking about Hogan old. I'm talking Dreamer/Sandman/Rhyno old.

Jeez dude.
