alotta people think that Tebow will be a bust or that he should be a fullback in the NFL,but somebodies gonna draft him 2 be a QB because he throws accurate and he has arm strength, he has 2 prove himself in the NFL though because he had 2 many good weapons at Florida when he won them championships

Tebow has a long release and is NOT as accurate as far as consistency is concerned. He is SURROUNDED by talent.

He wouldn't last a down in the NFL as a QB.

Bullshit.

Jamarcus Russell is still starting.

Maybe we can release him and pick Tebow with the top 5 pick we're guaranteed to have this year...

Tebow is the J.J. Reddick of college football. Everyone who's not on his team or a fan of the Gators hates him, but the only thing they can really say is ''he'll be a bust in the NFL", just like they said about Reddick in the NBA.

I don't think he'll be a ''bust'', because I don't see anyone taking him and EXPECTING him to be their starting QB. Who would do that? Bring him in as an athlete; there's plenty of room somewhere, for some team. But to pick him in the first round? No...I wouldn't do that. But all in all, he'll go down like Reddick, or even maybe closer to Hansborough...

Tebow will be one of the best college players of all time, period. He's going to break Walker's SEC TD record soon, and that's by a QB. Heisman trophy winner. Single-season SEC TD leader. 2, possibly 3 BCS championships. The list goes on and on. I'd hate him, too, if I wasn't a Gators fan. LOL

BTW, this ^ wasn't really directed at I Pukokeki Ioulo Momu; I just used the post about not lasting a down in the NFL. LOL

Well seeing as JJ HAS been a bust....

Tebow's longest run ever was this past week: 27 yards. His longest TD run isn't longer than 8 yards if in mot mistaken.

I meant that as a QB. Who knows how he gets used in the NFL.

But JJ was taken fairly high in the draft; Tebow shouldn't be. I'm not saying he will be...but if a team takes him expecting him to be the Tebow who wreaked havoc on opponents in college, that's their fault. And then, yes...he will be. But if he's taken as a part of a team, a small part, and not expected to carry a team, and NOT with a 1st, 2nd, or probably even 3rd round pick, I'd say he should be fine. But a ''bust'', to me, is taking Jamarcus Russell, Alex Smith, Ryan Leif, Kijana Carter, etc...

As far as his ''longest'' TD run...that's fair. But, again, he's the QB. And EVERYONE knows he's going to run the ball when it's 3rd and 1, or 4th and 1, or on the goal line...and they still can't stop him. I give him credit for that. And seriously...if he never had a TD run longer than 1 yard...he's still going to break that record. Look at all the great SEC RB's he's passed, with McFadden, Bo Jackson, etc. And soon, Herschel Walker.

Oh, and I know you meant your original comment ''if'' he's used as a QB; I'm a Raiders fan, and have never been a Jamarcus Russell fan...so I had to throw that in there.

My point is, the ratio of TD runs outside of 2 yards between Tebow, the QB and all the others, whom are RB, is completely lopsided. I agree they know its coming and cant stop it, but its still only 1 yard. With a good enough like, I could get those TD's.

No, you couldn't get those TD's. And that's why you're on the computer. Right now. Talking to me. For the same reason I'm here. Now. Because I couldn't get those TD's.

LOL

Obviously, he's not the great runner that Walker and the rest is, but my point is that what he's accomplished in college is great. I'm not saying it will translate to the NFL, because it obviously won't. He's one of those great college players who won't be great in the NFL. Completely different game.
