I was just thinking that there are quite a few songs that sound pretty damn tight....but there's just something about the song that fucks it up...maybe the chorus, a single sound in the beat, or a group song with one dude fucking up the whole song.

What made me think of this is that song on the Unexpected...I think its pour me another drink (front back side to side haaaaaaayyy) I always thought that song wourl be coo, just that chorus is so damn corny and stupid that I cant really stand the song. Even my girl said the song was tooo fucking corny, and started clowing the chorus.

I know theres a gang more songs with fucked up parts, but I cant think of any right now...any one know a few???

I think this is one of the problems with bay rap. All the sudden you get some respect as a rapper, and you gotta have all the homies jump on your next album. Its cool to bring up the neighborhood, but you gotta send them to the labb for a few years before you put them on a track.
My best examples are the Jacka's album and Camp Mobfigaz. The Mobfigaz definitely got skill, but a lot of the folks on Camp Mobfigaz weren't flaming up the tracks, and it especially becomes obvious when theres a tight beat that starts with one of the MobFigaz rappin and then all the sudden you wanna skip through the track till another MobFiga is rappin. Just my opinion, some of those fools sound cool, but the majority of Camp Mobfigaz was ruined by the fact that the inexperienced homies werent on the level of AP, Jacka, Ridah, Fed-X, and Hustlah.

yeah i feel you on that - esp on track 3 - that dude talking about the golden gate bridge damn near ruins the song...

but on the other hand thats the point of comps - to get unknown rappers exposure....i'm sure the figz know that they're boys arent the best of rappers, but thought they would help em out...
